Thank you for showing interest in being a St. Ignatius CYO Coach. We appreciate all your time, effort, and work that you put into the program.
A CYO Coach is primarily a youth leader with a gift of reaching out through athletics. Coaches are essentially youth ministers on the court or on the field. They serve to empower youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ and to invite and encourage them to be responsible participants in the life, mission and work of the church.
All Coaches need to complete the following requirements before they can coach any CYO sponsored sport.

Coaches and volunteers are required to complete the registration to follow. Applicants will be able to re-use this registration for future sports registrations.

In accordance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People,
any adult who would like to volunteer in a ministry involving children in our parish
must complete the following prior to participating:
1. Volunteer Code of Conduct Policy
2. Sexual Abuse Policy
3. Background Check form.
4. Protecting God's Children class (PGC)
5. Completed and approved coaches application
6. Sudden Cardiac Arrest Acknowledgement & Sign Off
7. Concussion Training & Certification

1. Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check

2. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certificate

3. Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check

-Submit completed FBI Criminal Background Fingerprint Check to St. Ignatius. It will be forwarded to the Diocese who will return a registration number to St. Ignatius which will be given to the applicant to take to the 3M Cogent site for fingerprinting.
4. Diocese’s Sexual Abuse Policy Acknowledgment Form (dated May 2014)
